Responsibilities

 

  • Identify, assess, and address F&A business challenges
  • Oversee full-cycle close in collaboration with the close team
  • Define current and future states, and roadmap to get there
  • Share knowledge and best practices of key processes
  • Support system strategy and selection projects
  • Embody and deliver continuous improvement programs
  • Hold the team accountable and drive effective change
  • Assess and escalate project issues, risks, or conflicts
  • Proactively partner with leadership on internal projects
  • Manage and assist with sales and marketing initiatives
  • Regularly participate in recruiting and training
  • Play a key role in ongoing organizational development
  • Assists with integrations and identifying client efficiencies
  • Optimize the clients’ use of close processes and tools

Qualifications

 

  • 2-3+ years’ experience in professional services (public accounting or advisory firm), preferably at a large, global accounting firm or with a management consulting firm
  • 2-3+ years of private industry experience in relevant roles
  • 2-3+ years actively managing projects and programs
  • Finance or accounting background, degree, or masters
  • Deep knowledge of GL and Subledger concepts
  • Technical accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • PMP certification strongly preferred but not required
  • Willingness to gain additional certifications as required
  • Functional and technical proficiency
  • Experience working and communicating with executives
  • Experience working in hypergrowth environments

Required Skills

 

  • Experience in accounting, finance, and ops improvement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Macros, and SQL
  • Experience using NetSuite, Salesforce, and QuickBooks
  • Passionate about building and developing teams
